MelbourneBushfire appeal

Read all about how Neways distributors like you were able to pull together to help the victims of the Australian brush fires.

This article was picked up by the U.K. website The Earth Times, and it just shows the world once again what wonderful and giving distributors Neways has.

Neways is all about making the world a better place one home at a time, whether that's giving the world safety-conscious products or helping those in need. Neways truly makes a difference.

Australia recently experienced what many believe are the worst bushfires in the nation’s history, which killed an estimated 250 people and destroyed over 1,000 homes.

“The human losses are unimaginable and a real tragedy, and our hearts go out to their families,” said Andy Kirss, managing director of Neways Australia. “People have also lost their homes, their clothes, their cars, their livestock, and their pets, and all their worldly goods. Their lives will be affected for a long, long time to come.”

In response to the tragedy, Neways Australia issued a call to Neways distributors across the nation to help render assistance through the Red Cross and the Salvation Army. In addition, the company donated $10,000 in cash to support the relief efforts.

“Neways distributors have given generously to the appeal, as have most Australians, which is very heartening,” said Kirss.

While no Neways distributors are known to have lost their lives, one distributor lost a brother, and some distributors lost their homes and possessions. “We are making arrangements to send them some Neways products to keep them going in the short term,” said Kirss.

“We want to recognise the outstanding efforts of all the volunteers who have willingly given of their time and energy to fight the fires and support the work being done in so many other ways,” said Kirss. “There are many heroes out there, and we sincerely hope they get the praise they deserve. Neways joins in giving a big thank-you to all involved.”

Bushfire relief donations can be made to the Red Cross Appeal at www.redcross.org.au or via the Salvation Army at www.salvationarmy.com.au.

Aluminium

Found in Deodorants Aluminum is a metal, the third most common element in the environment and a toxin in the body.

You'll find it in processed foods, antiperspirants, antacids, paper products, beverage cans, foil and cookware.

World Health Organization conducts studies on chemical pollution and the elderly...

"There is a suspected link between Alzheimer's disease and the toxicity of aluminum... autopsies have found high concentrations of the metal in the brain of people who had suffered from the disease."
-from Public Health Reports, Nov-Dec 1993 v108n6p798(2)

Studies linking aluminum to Alzheimer's disease...

"The evidence is strong enough that the prudent person will eliminate all food and cosmetic sources of aluminum and will use aluminum cooking utensils only if they are coated,"

suggests Gary Price Todd, MD, author of Nutrition, Health and Disease.
-from Natural Health, May-June 1993 v23n3p54(2)

Dr. Daniel Perl, Director of Neuropathology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, suggests "...avoid aerosol antiperspirants. Aluminum in aerosol may be more readily absorbed into the brain through nasal passages."
-from The University of California, Berkeley Wellness Letter, April 1993 v9n7p1(2)

"Aluminum-containing antiperspirants are designed to be absorbed, and studies show that regular use of these products can raise the risk of Alzheimer's by as much as three-fold. (also)...municipal water supplies treated with alum (aluminum sulfate)...at least 7 studies show that people drinking water high in alum are more likely to develop Alzheimer's"
-from Natural Health, May-June 1993 v23n3p54(2)

Alzheimer's disease is now the 4th leading cause of death among the elderly, behind heart disease, cancer and stroke. A half century ago it was virtually unheard of! Something's going on! Our bodies are rebelling against this chemical invasion. Will you take action! Either way, you're betting your life!

Cervical cancer vaccine

Thank you,

This has gone to everyone on my data base!

About this time of the year last year we sent out this email, and the questions are still the same for most Mum’s and Dad’s, because their daughters are coming home with the consent forms for this Cervical Cancer Vaccine. Should we or shouldn’t we? Well from our research and hearing and reading the experiences of others, we shouldn’t give this to our daughters!

You could call us Crack Pot’s… I’d call it being responsible, and making a responsible choice!

Please take the time to read this experience from just one of the Mums we know and then do your own research. Please don’t have this done just because THEY SAY (whoever THEY are) and be one of the Guinea Pigs…we don’t yet know the long term effects from this immunisation!

Wishing you all the best of Health in 2009,
